Construction Works:
Construction and architectural works were the primary business of ASAS Universal. In one year the Company executed two projects worth more than SR 50,000.000.00. However, the market was saturated by all types and grades of construction contractors. Continuing in the field using normal commercial practices would not add anything new to the market and might have proven risky. In order to achieve these goals, the company has followed different strategy to support its success by exploiting experience gained in this field.

Construction Projects Management Service was the new method ASAS Universal followed to continue in the construction field. The concept is that ASAS Universal study and cost the particular Project, they compete for and win the contract. For execution, ASAS Universal provide the management staff and financial support. Technical staff, legal and administrative support is also provided as required. ASAS Universal provide the procurement of equipment, system requirements and all major materials; other companies are used to provide manpower and heavy construction equipment required for execution.

A new section has being created within the Technical Affairs Department to follow and monitor all construction projects. As a result of that survey, Memorandum of Understanding and support agreements were signed with selected companies classified as 2nd and 3rd grade. In addition to that, ASAS Universal, cooperate with several designing offices to support its efforts for projects supervision and follow up. This field is considered as a secondary area of activities, therefore the participation of the company in this field depends on true opportunity according to the company’s viewpoint.
