 Maintenance
Work, Operation and Technical Support:
Operation & Maintenance projects pertaining to
electro-mechanical installations, telecommunication and
electronic systems are the main and largest part of ASAS
Universal activities. A remarkable success of the Company in
this field is the Ground Environmental & Navigational Aids
Program. This contract was awarded to ASAS Universal by the
Ministry of Defense and Aviation for the sum SR
229,000,000.00 in the period between 1987 – 1990. Once again
the company won the same project for the period between 1996
– 1999 for a total sum worth SR. 192,040,000.00. The Project
duration has been extended for one year 1999 – 2000 for a
sum worth SR. 48,000,000.00. ASAS was successful in winning
this project for three years period 2000 – 2003 for a sum
worth SR 92,600,000.00.
Special systems (electro-mechanical & electronic) and large
scale Operation & Maintenance Projects are considered as the
most important targets for the company in this field. On the
other hand the activities of the company are not limited to
this field only, but, they are extended to cover other
fields such as supply of spare parts for advanced systems in
addition to disassembly, installation, systems, programming,
training as well as technical, administrative and life
support for personnel.
In the field of general maintenance regarding building &
technical systems, the company has executed MOFA Headquarter
Project during the period 1992 – 1995, 1995 – 1998 and 1998
– 2001. Now the company is executing the same project for
the fourth time 2001 – 2003. In addition to this project the
company has executed the Power & Telecom Jubail Project
between 1996 – 1999. At present, the company is executing
the second phase of the same project which is expected to
last for five years.
ASAS Universal is presently executing the Technical Support
for Command, Control and Communication Program for the Royal
Saudi Air Defence Forces for three years periods amounting
US $. 89,700,000.00 (SR. 336,375,000.00). Such programs were
awarded before to large Foreign firms. |
